Meet Brad

I’m not typically a morning person, but my day might begin with a 6 a.m. flight to a meeting with a prospective client across the country. After landing, I meet up with a colleague and go to the meeting, where we are taking a new client through a systems consultation to determine audio/video requirements at a new flagship retail store. We leave the meeting understanding exactly what the client’s sound system requirements are and how the client would like to use video elements in the new store to help drive its brand.

Back at the hotel, I relay all the meeting information to a designer back in Redmond, Washington, so he can assemble an A/V system to meet the client’s needs. I spend the rest of the afternoon on the site of a new mall under construction, where stores and restaurants are receiving their new PlayNetwork A/V systems. I ensure that the systems are installed correctly.

Since the installation at one of the stores has been completed, I come in to take stock of the new system. I use technology that allows me to walk around the store and make any necessary adjustments to sound quality and output levels wirelessly with my laptop. Once testing is complete, I save the files and systems settings to my computer.

Consistency is very important to our clients, who expect the same customer experience in all their stores. To achieve that, I take pictures of any specific installation requirements in the store which I will use to create an installation manual. Since this is the first of many installations for this client’s chain, the installation manual will be used in all its stores; the settings on my laptop will be preloaded into equipment at the next store to ensure that the sonic characteristics are identical.

Finally, I head back to the hotel to get some rest. As I mentioned, I’m not typically a morning person, but I need to catch an early flight back to Seattle. I’m setting up the sound system at the PlayNetwork office for a private performance by that new up-and-coming band from New York.

Testimonial

"They’ve created a highly inventive, catchy sound that entices shoppers to linger longer in our stores and enjoy the shopping experience by more intimately connecting them with our brand."
