Project Manager
I’m always learning something new about our business — and people in general.

Meet Michelle
At a recent meeting of PlayNetwork employees, we were asked, “If you could pick a song that best represents you, what would it be?” Others answered, “Hit Me with Your Best Shot,” “Everybody’s Working for the Weekend,” and other songs that lots of people could relate to. I chose “Michelle” by the Beatles. My dad named me after this song, so I chose it because it reflects my feelings about my family. In everything I do, even work, my family is foremost—and at PlayNetwork, that viewpoint is just one of many that add to the rich weave of our workplace.
In my job as a project manager, on any given day I might be reaching out to a contractor trying to coordinate an audio/video installation, establishing a relationship with a new client, or meeting with a vendor who has new technology. I’m always learning something new about our business—and people in general.
Sometimes we’re treated to opportunities unique to our industry—like live shows at our office performed by artists featured in our clients’ music programs.
PlayNetwork is dedicated to recognizing those who make a significant contribution to the company. I’ve been fortunate enough to win a few awards, including a trip to Italy this fall—fulfilling a lifelong dream.
PlayNetwork also supports philanthropic initiatives, and I’ve participated in Habitat for Humanity and FareStart. With the company’s help, I’m training my dog so we can volunteer for the Delta Society, a nonprofit organization which promotes animals helping people improve their independence and quality of life. How cool is it for a company to let me bring my dog in for training to become well-socialized to different kinds of people?
Thinking back to that ice-breaker question about a song that represents me, I’d add “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. At PlayNetwork, I definitely receive respect for my efforts. Our managers encourage us to speak up, have an entrepreneurial mindset, and take risks. I’m looking forward to our future endeavors, in the spirit of the immortal Aretha: “Sock it to me!”
