For Shannon, music is the soundtrack for life, love, and everything in-between. Shannon’s dad used to skip school to dance on American Bandstand and passed his love for music down to Shannon. As a result, she holds a lifelong love affair with music and pop culture.

Shannon sees as many shows as possible, travels across the globe to discover new music, loves a good pop hook, and is a sucker for a good love song. She appreciates a well-crafted song and listens to all kinds of music, regardless of genre, to try to discover why it resonates with listeners.

She has a diverse background in music and arts, where she has been involved in marketing, promotions, arts education and outreach, and program management. Her resume includes five years at Experience Music Project, where she conducted music and pop culture research, and coordinated the annual Pop Music Conference.

She applies her eclectic taste and programming expertise to a variety of retail and restaurant environments. In her spare time, Shannon studies letterpress and creates promotional materials for local artists. Shannon once held an apprenticeship with a milliner (hatmaker) and is a believer in the “church of craft,” so she’s a diehard crafter. As a result, she spends much of her free time combining her love of music, and all things vintage with crafting.
