The Challenge:

Create a spectacular sight and sound ‘shopping adventure’ for Scheels’ 300,000 square foot all-sports superstore, which houses the world’s largest selection of sports, sportswear, and footwear under one roof.

The Experience:

Nothing short of spectacular, the store features 4 giant columns with 36, 40-inch HD LCD monitors that display dazzling brand and lifestyle video footage, beyond which  lie two 16,000 gallon aquariums, a customer tram, sports simulators, shooting ranges, and a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel. To accommodate the large space and diverse attractions, PlayNetwork created custom music programs and in-store messaging distributed across 15 zones throughout the store.  For visual media impact, 39 Scheels video channels are broadcast to more than 100, 42-inch plasma TVs including a back-of-house educational program for employees. Inside Gramma Gina’s restaurants, digital menu boards provide the food du jour on 40 and 50-inch LCD TVs that are easy to program and control via PC.

The Result:

A stunning, memorable, and centralized floor to ceiling experience featuring consistent content enjoyed by customers and employees.
