Summary
The Technical Service Representative is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving client sound system service issues in the field, as well as management of client service programs. The Technical Service Representative actively manages a number of strategic accounts based on technical skill and/or corporate requirements. Education/Experience
- 2+ years call center / customer service department experience preferred
- 4-7 years experience in “commercial sound / video contracting marketplace”
- 2+ years service technician experience preferred
- Electronics Engineering / Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience required

Summary

The position requires experience in administration, sales coordination, and data entry. Candidate must be proficient in all Microsoft applications, particularly Excel, and have experience with Goldmine or other contact management software.

Sales Coordination
- Tracks meetings, proposals, and sales related to VAR and XM for Business team activity

- Completes new account forms and various other documentation and order entry functions in order to facilitate the shipment of products and activation of services.
New Account Coordination
- Responsible for New Account or New Service set up in DSI
- Completes DSI templates, input data into DSI and creates work orders as needed
- Creates Music concepts and video concepts in DSI
- Sets up all demo location activity including content requests, player shipments and A/V equipment installations
- Manages and monitors DSI account set up to eliminate errors or problems related to sales coding, template creation or other processing issues
Administrative
- Works closely with the SVP of VAR Services and XM for Business in creating and providing on-going reports related to sales performance, sales tracking, revenue reporting and customer service metrics
- Responsible for preparation of monthly Sales Board Reports – liaise with Business Unit Managers to ensure accurate and complete information
- Inspects, logs and tracks travel expenses for Sales, Account Management and Client Service teams against Budget
- Maintains comprehensive files on all accounts and prospects including pricing sheets, proposals, and agreements for new prospects and existing customers
- Assists SVP of VAR Services and XM for Business with meeting schedules, event coordination, and travel and entertainment plans
- Supports general administrative projects critical to the success of the VAR Services and XM for Business team
- Acts as liaison between VAR Services and XM for Business to remaining support departments and teams for all business requests including telecommunication equipment, credits, equipment orders and supplies
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
