Executive Chairman and CEO

 

In 2005, Lon was appointed CEO of PlayNetwork adding to his position as Chairman of the Board which he has held since 2004.

Lon is a well-known pioneer and veteran of the business entertainment industry. His success in taking young entrepreneurial companies to great heights originates in the pioneering days of Audio Group Inc., the first commercial music provider to utilize direct broadcast satellite distribution. He then went on to become Vice President of Dealer Sales at AEI Music Network, President of DMX Music's Commercial Division, and then President and Chief Executive Officer of DMX through its fast growth period of 1997 to 2001, leading that company up to its merger with AEI Music Network to become one of the largest business music providers in the world.

 
Sue Hoover

Chief Financial Officer

Sue joined PlayNetwork in 2006 and leads the finance and accounting department. Sue oversees the company's cash management as well as relationships and coordination with Silicon Valley Bank and third-party auditing firms. Sue brings more than 20 years of finance and administration expeience. Prior to PlayNetwork, Sue was Vice President of Finance and Administration for Seattle-based Saltmine Inc., a Web design and service company. Sue has served as VP of Finance and Acting CFO for a number of companies including Verispan, LLC and Quintiles Transnational Corp., developing and implementing financial strategies in a variety of industries including health care, travel, and Internet media.

 
Craig Hubbell

Craig Hubbell

Executive VP, Media Services, Sales & Marketing

Craig joined PlayNetwork in 2002 as the company's Vice President, Strategic Account Management and Customer Services. He is responsible for the management and service of PlayNetwork's 20,000-plus customer locations.

Craig has 11 years of industry experience including leadership positions in sales, strategic account management, and customer service; including work with some of the best known brands in the hospitality and retail Industry. He brings more than 20 years of service industry sales, management and leadership experience.

With a strong belief in taking a "customer focused" approach, Craig places high value on engaging, supporting and partnering with PlayNetwork's clients to ensure customer satisfaction.

Julie Baird

Julie Baird

Controller

Having joined PlayNetwork in 2007, Julie heads up the accounting department and serves as a financial liaison with the company’s sales and operational departments. A CPA, Julie brings 20 years of experience to the company and has served in public accounting, health care, resort and hospitality and software development industries. Julie spent 1993-2001 in Jackson Hole WY, eventually working as Director of Accounting at St John’s Medical Center and as Controller of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. She most recently served as Controller at Sunriver Resort, in Oregon, before joining the team at PlayNetwork.

 
David Brewster

David Brewster

Senior VP, Music & Messaging

David joined PlayNetwork in July 2005 after a period of consulting work, and was appointed Senior Vice President, Promotional Services in November 2005.

From 1997 to 2004, David directed the music and entertainment business at Starbucks Coffee Company. He helped craft a seamless customer experience with the Starbucks brand through music, at multiple touch points including in-store programming, custom compilation CDs, targeted sponsorships and through the retail operations of Hear Music stores and website. David understands the methodology, effects and business results of national brand enhancement through the power of music and entertainment.

David's previous career was in trade book publishing, with roles in editorial, sales and marketing for Houghton Mifflin Co. and PenguinPutnam (formerly Viking Penguin). He has a degree in English from Reed College.

 
Darrell Champagne

Darrell Champagne

Senior VP, Operations/Audio and Video Systems Services

Since joining PlayNetwork in 1999, Darrell has been responsible for developing new market opportunities. As the company's Vice President of Systems Engineering, Darrell's efforts have led to the development and successful deployment of PlayNetwork's syndication and network delivery sales channel. His work includes champion for the industry’s first-and-only, self-serve online music service targeted at small business.

Darrell has more than 15 years experience in the commercial audio arena. As a top manufacturer representative of commercial and professional sound products for BOSE Corporation and Toa Electronics, he managed sales and implementation of large-venue sound systems including Staples Arena in Los Angeles, Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., and Air Canada Center in Toronto.

 
James Condon

James Condon

Senior VP, Video Media Services

A veteran to commercial music and video services, James joined PlayNetwork in 2005 as Senior Vice President of Media Networks to head up the company's digital signage and video advertising network services. James has a proven track record for identifying and developing new strategic opportunities in the media and broadcast industries. His experience includes managing, business development and strategic sales, as well as brand and channel management and support teams. His background includes 15 years of progressive experience in media solutions, broadcast services and complex system integration projects.

Previously, James served as VP Enterprise System Sales as well as VP Channel Partner and Strategic Alliances for AdSpace Networks (CoolSign). At CoolSign, James negotiated customer and strategic partner agreements enabling the launch of several networks including Nike, Dicks Sports, and The Gap. Prior to CoolSign, James was VP National Sales for DMX Music's e-business sales and marketing strategy for its commercial market segment. James has a wealth of knowledge establishing digital media networking and channel partner and strategic alliance programs in the retail industry.

 
Kim Dahmen

Kim Dahmen

Senior VP, International VAR Services

Kim joined PlayNetwork in 2000, and has successfully expanded the company's account base and support services into 40 countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.. His efforts have also led to the establishment of key strategic partnerships with respected music organizations in the UK, Japan, and South Korea.

As the company's Senior Vice President of international business, Kim currently oversees all international elements of the business related to music service, licensing, distribution, and client/affiliate relations.

Kim has more than 20 years experience in the commercial music industry including six years spent in the UK & European marketplace.

 
Shari Green

VP, Client Services

Shari joined PlayNetwork in January 2007. Shari supervises all customer-facing service activities including Technical Service, Customer Service, and Project Management, managing how PlayNetwork brings customers on board, rolls out and installs media services and equipment, and provides exceptional customer services. Shari brings 14 years of sales and marketing, account management, operations, customer service, technical service, and project management experience, most recently as Vice President, Client Services & Support for DMX Music.

 
Leroy Henry

Leroy Henry

VP, Creative Services

Leroy joined PlayNetwork in 1999 after 14 years in the business music entertainment industry. As PlayNetwork's Vice President of Programming Services, he is the founding member of the Music Programming department. He assembled PlayNetwork's world-class team of senior music programmers and is the creative team leader in ongoing consultations with PlayNetwork clients. He is a major contributor in the creation and design of the programming and management user interface of Conductor, PlayNetwork's proprietary music engine and database, authoring the platform of business mixes that are the driving force within Conductor.

Leroy collaborates closely with the Starbucks Hear Music team as a producer, facilitating the programming that is distributed to more than 40 countries worldwide.

A former rock DJ, producer and songwriter, Leroy embraces a very eclectic approach to creating custom music programs that have become the hallmark of PlayNetwork.

 
Jeff Heiman

VP, Licensing & Label Relations

With over 25 years of music experience in A&R, broadcasting, promotion, marketing, publicity, management & production, Jeff is PlayNetwork's ambassador to the music industry and is highly regarded by music labels and rights management agencies. Jeff has also served as a personal manager to numerous artists including Karla Bonoff, Wendy Waldman & Kenny Edwards, guitarist/ songwriter/producer Artie Traum and singer songwriter, David Mallett and was also the former Vice-President of Windham Hill Records & Gold Castle Records. Jeff has served on the Grammy Folk & Blues Screening Committee for the past 15 years and serves on the Board of Governors for the Pacific Northwest Chapter of N.A.R.A.S.

 
 
Heidi Keele

Heidi Keele

VP, Marketing & Communications

Heidi joined PlayNetwork in 2007 to lead the areas of Marketing and Public Relations for the company. She is also responsible for driving vertical campaigns around the core offerings of the PlayNetwork business.

Heidi brings more than a decade of experience in product and programs marketing, with the majority of time spent in the high tech industry. Prior to joining PlayNetwork, Heidi drove mobile marketing programs for InfoSpace, Inc, and spent several years creating and driving programs for the developer marketing segment at Microsoft Corporation. In the late 90’s Heidi served as Director of Sales and Marketing for a Seattle based start-up, iSolute.com.

 
Denny Lien

VP, Operations, Video Media Services

Denny Lien, Vice President Operations Video Media Services, joined the Company in mid-2005 as a part of the merger with Crows Nest Entertainment.

Denny's primary focus in his current capacity is to strategically and tactically increase operational efficiencies to position the Video Media Services Network for growth. Prior to Crows Nest, Denny directed Project Management, Engineering Services, and Field Operations for DMX Music. Denny has 18 years of project management, engineering-design, account management, business development, sales, and leadership experience in systems integration within the commercial music industry.

 
Brandon Masterson

Brandon Masterson

Senior VP, Technology Services

Brandon joined PlayNetwork in 2001 to lead the Information Technology team in the development and implementation of many of PlayNetwork's most innovative and proprietary technologies. He manages a team of experts that focus on a variety of mission critical technology infrastructure development and deployment including back-end network operations, product design and development, and continued enhancements to PlayNetwork's proprietary media management system, Conductor™. Brandon has directed the development and launch of a number of new media solutions, including PlayNetwork's latest generation of advanced disc and hard drive music playback systems — Performer™ P400, and Combo™ C400.

Brandon has nearly 20 years of technology development and management experience. Prior to PlayNetwork, he was General Manager of Professional Services at Network Commerce, overseeing the development and maintenance of client web sites and technology infrastructure. His background includes a number of other program management, software engineering, and quality assurance roles while in the medical and aerospace industries.

 
Jody McKinley

Jody McKinley

VP, Direct Sales

Jody first joined the company in 2002 as an early member of PlayNetwork's esteemed National Sales Team.  Most recently, as the Senior Director, Major Account Sales, he has been responsible for developing and launching the major account sales channel for PlayNetwork.  McKinley has nearly 15 years of experience working with national brands.  Prior to joining PlayNetwork, he served as a Business Development Manager for Business Television Video, and was the Executive Producer & Creative Director for Impressions Multimedia Productions, a company he co-founded in the mid-90s.

 
Dave Purdy

Dave Purdy

Senior VP, North American VAR Services

Dave joined PlayNetwork in 2006 and leads the company in developing new sales channels, sales affiliates, and partner-delivered product and service offerings.


Dave brings 15 years of experience in affiliate network business development, sales, and marketing, the majority of the time being rooted in the business entertainment industry. Before joining PlayNetwork, Dave was VP of Sales and Marketing for Trusonic, Inc. for 3 years, and Senior Director of Sales and Marketing for MP3.com/Vivendi Universal Net USA (Trusonic’s preceding brand) for 3 additional years — launching Trusonic’s business music services for resellers and direct business customers. From 1996 to 2000, Dave was the Director of Affiliate Sales for AEI Music Network (now DMX Music).

Nadine took her place on PlayNetwork's Senior Management team after three years of account management service. Nadine's leadership ensures that the needs of all strategic accounts across North America are managed effectively and responsibly. Nadine's 14 years of customer service, project management, and account management experience within the media and Internet sectors are put to use as she leads PlayNetwork's team of Strategic Account Managers.
