Objective: 4 Stroke Jeans, an emerging fashion jeans brand for women, came to PlayNetwork looking for a distinct Web 2.0 event to support their ad agency’s PR campaign around their launch effort.

Insight: Desiring a strong music affiliation with their brand, we saw a connection with podcasting as it began to emerge as a new medium for delivery content. PlayNetwork’s ideal solution was to develop a Branded Podcast Service.

Innovation: With our rich music database and existing label relationships, we sourced the appropriate music content to fit 4 Stroke Jeans’ brand image, and arranged for voice-over recordings by a celebrity spokesperson for the final four track production.

Result: 4 Stroke Jeans enjoyed a successful brand launch with podcasting as an integral part of that success logging several hundred downloads on iTunes and the 4 Stroke Jeans website.

Objective: Hot Topic wanted a new, innovative way to reach out to their customers and continue to promote their brand.

Insight: An important part of Hot Topic’s identity, their website was, however, static and disconnected to their brand. PlayNetwork saw a great opportunity existed to extend their customer connection through Web Radio.

Innovation: Already providing in-store music programming and automated playback technology, PlayNetwork created a music-streaming service for Hot Topic’s online portal.

Result: Hot Topic’s Web Radio has generated big interest among visitors to the Hot Topic site, which saw a big spike in usage after the music went live.
