I had the privilege of seeing Janelle Monae live last year when she opened up for Jamie Lidell at his Seattle show. I had no idea who she was at the time, but now I remember her performance from that night even more than Jamie’s. She has a fantastic voice, amazing stage presence and is an all-around awesome performer. You can get an idea of her stage show in the video below for her song Many Moons.
