Tz’s Daily Dose of Decade: Julian Plenti

This week i’m going to put a little spin on the Daily Dose. Each day will be a “new” clip, from an artist most commonly associated with a particular decade. Today’s clip comes from Julian Plenti, better known as Paul Banks, best known as the lead singer for Interpol. Why is he calling himself Julian Plenti? I don’t know, but i do know that i love this record. It shouldn’t disappoint Interpol fans, and what’s more, it doesn’t sound exactly like Interpol. Otherwise, what would be the point, right? Here’s ‘Games For Days’ from Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

Buy! Amazon or iTunes

As far as i know, Interpol are still together but until they get it together, this is a suitable substitute. It succeeds in bringing something new to the table, without selling out and working with Kanye or whoever else is trendy at the moment. Thanks Paul…er…Julian! Now, go check out the album Julian Plenti is…Skyscraper.
