I think it is awesome when artists’ singing voices are the complete opposite of their speaking voices and there is no better example of that then Susan Tedeschi. In the video of today’s Song Of The Day, “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright”, Susan introduces the Bob Dylan masterwork in her sweet and demure voice, then launches into the track with a voice that almost knocks you over. She sings in a soulful, raspy, powerful voice that is effortless and filled with emotional pain. Then at the end of the video as the final notes sound, she thanks the audience for their applause and again you think to yourself, “I can’t believe that those two voices exist within the same person.” Pretty cool. So enjoy the performance! I think I’ll watch the video again myself.
